Maxine (Jobe) Wagner, was born August 10, 1925, daughter of Henry and Irene (Wachter) Jobe of Eldred, Minnesota, where she attended elementary school. In 1943, she graduated from High School at Climax, Minnesota. In 1946, she married Alvin Wagner and moved to a farm near Crookston, MN. They bought their farm in 1947, and farmed there till Alvin's death in 1976. Three of their four sons have managed the farm since that time. They are Wayne, Gary and Daryl. The oldest son, Leslie, teaches in the elementary school system in Crookston.

Maxine moved to Crookston in 1978. She is a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, is an active member of the Afternoon Guild serving as Mission Service Chairman over ten years, and also takes care of the historical scrapbooks for the guild and church. She is a member of the Mary/Dorcas Bible Study Group as well as other bible studies. She is a member of the Variety Homemaker Study Club and the Riverview Hospital Auxiliary. Also was a member of the "Womens Discussion on the Farm" Red River Valley Winter Shows board.

She has nine grandchildren, three of whom are married. She is busy with church activities, volunteering at the hospital, babysitting for grandchildren, and likes flower gardening and crossword puzzles.
